Description: Werewolves are real. Marius enjoys the irony that everyone calls him a dog whisperer, not just because he’s a werewolf, but for his work at the local animal shelter. He has a unique talent for pairing families with their perfect pets upon first meeting them. But he’s still looking for acceptance and a forever family of his own. Then Jack comes into the rescue looking for a big, mean dog. To prevent Jack from making the wrong choice, Marius convinces him to adopt a needy spaniel mix instead. But when Marius learns Jack is tormented by horrible memories while at his apartment, he opens his home to the sweet, scared man. As their relationship grows, Jack feels comfortable telling Marius about the horrors he suffered. Marius hopes his steady presence, protection, and love can help Jack reclaim the pieces of himself broken on that terrible night.

Review: Marius is a werewolf who co-owns a pet rescue shelter with tough-as-nails Clare. Jack is a shell of a man who is trying to get his life back together. They meet when Jack comes in to the rescue shelter in hopes of finding a guard dog for his apartment. Jack ends up adopting a shy and frightened dog named Missy. Not the guard dog he was looking for but one that will aid him in mending. I loved reading the parallel story of Missy getting better with Jack while Jack is recovering with Marius. Each needing hope, gaining strength, and deserving of love.

From the beginning of the story I knew that this book was going to be dark. This book looks at a very tough subject and one of the hardest topics to write about, rape. This story is about a man who can’t find support in a small town and still raw from a recent attack. I could tell that the author reached into forbidden places to come up with such a broken character like Jack. But that is why I really liked this book, the characters are not afraid to look into the worst parts of themselves.

Caitlin Ricci isn’t afraid to take her characters into the shadows and face their fears. She writes not only amazing main characters but builds up side characters that don’t fall into typical stereotypes. My favorite was Seth, but I always have a place in my heart for talkative, geeky characters like him. I also loved Clare with her stubborn nature and big heart. Caitlin Ricci’s writing improves with every book I read and I cannot wait to see what story she comes out with next.

I found the ending came too fast, I wanted to spend more time in the world of Marius and Jack, watch them grow even more. This is why I can’t wait to read the rest of the series not only in hopes to see if Seth, Peter, or Jeremy end up finding the loves of their lives but also to see how Jack is growing and healing with the help of his loving werewolf.

If you like darker stories with two men working to become stronger with healing and a little revenge, I recommend this book for you.

Description: Luke ignored his Irish roommates when they advised him to return the coin he found. They warned him about keeping leprechaun gold. He might regret it when a sexy, kilt-wearing leprechaun shows up to claim the last of his gold.

Luke, an American exchange student studying abroad in Ireland, ignored his roommates when they told him to put back the gold coin he found in the garden. They warned him about what would happen if he kept the leprechaun gold. He might wonder if maybe he should have listened to them when a sexy, kilt-wearing leprechaun shows up that night to claim the last of the coins from his scattered pot of gold.

Review: Arn is in search of his lost treasure and the last piece falls into the hands of a college student named Luke. Arn can't take the treasure Luke has claimed so Arn must fulfill Luke's wish to make love. Luke is an American college student finishing school in Ireland. Luke finds himself attracted to one of his roommates mostly because of the sexy Irish accent. Luke's heart is quickly changed after a night with the Leprechaun Arn.

Cailtin Ricci gives us a quick and cute read that is perfect for the St. Patrick's day spirit. The story is fast and the love even quicker as we are taken to a world of magic and one hopeful college student.

I recommend this story to anyone who loves a quick love story in the hopes of waiting to find true love.

Description: Brute leads a lonely life in a world where magic is commonplace. He is seven and a half feet of ugly, and of disreputable descent. No one, including Brute, expects him to be more than a laborer. But heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and when he is maimed while rescuing a prince, Brute’s life changes abruptly. He is summoned to serve at the palace in Tellomer as a guard for a single prisoner. It sounds easy but turns out to be the challenge of his life.

Rumors say the prisoner, Gray Leynham, is a witch and a traitor. What is certain is that he has spent years in misery: blind, chained, and rendered nearly mute by an extreme stutter. And he dreams of people’s deaths—dreams that come true.

As Brute becomes accustomed to palace life and gets to know Gray, he discovers his own worth, first as a friend and a man and then as a lover. But Brute also learns heroes sometimes face difficult choices and that doing what is right can bring danger of its own.

Review: Brute has been an outcast most of his life. When his parents died at a young age he was taken in by an abusive uncle who didn't want him. When his uncle died he was treated even worse by the townspeople who didn't really know what to do with an ugly giant. He did the work of ten men in his work in labor but a visit from a prince changes his life forever. He becomes a lone guard for a witch and traitor who has dreams of people's deaths. Brute soon learns to be a friend and lover as the people of the palace easily accept him.

Kim Fielding is a brilliant writer who brings us another story of finding love in the most unusual places. Brute is one of the most unique characters I have ever read and his size and ugliness only make him stronger. I find it rare to read romance stories where the two main characters aren't attractive in almost every way and yet Fielding has us fall in love with Brute no matter what he looks like, proving looks can be deceiving and the most important things are on the inside. Her style is diverse and eclectic as she instantly pulls you into the world of a gentle giant.

Brute has a heart bigger than any ordinary man's. He is surprisingly tender and humble despite everything he has gone through. My favorite quote from the book is said by Gray Leynaham, “You're' a giant because an ordinary man's body is too small for what you are.” I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a fairy tale of a giant who should go down in the history books as a classic.

Description: Kane is known for his prowess on the battlefield. Unfortunately, that reputation has triggered the council of his native planet to ask him to breed. Kane is determined to only mate for love so he concocts a plan to fake a joining to another male before jumping planet and leaving everything beh

ind. He never counted on meeting a thief who would turn his plan into something more than a means to escape.

Jewl was just looking to make some cash. He never expected to come face to face with the warrior he was stealing from. Threatened with death if he doesn’t cooperate, Jewl agrees to be Kane’s pretend bond mate. But it will take more than just good acting for them to dupe the Warlord council.

As they spend more time together, it’s harder to remain indifferent. Will the possibility of love be enough to hold the two together?

Review: Jewl is a thief for the Rats Guild who gets caught in his latest job by Kane, warlord of the Bear Clan and White Knight of Aranoth. Kane is a man desperate to get out of marriage and Jewl is his only chance at freedom. Jewl reluctantly agrees, mostly at a chance to save his own life. Little do they know their paths were destined to cross. The attraction between them is nearly instant and they fall for each other in a hot and hurried pace. The quick attraction is explained through the Nano-DNA injected into Jewl shoulder as a way to fool the counsel into believing they are mated. The sexual attraction between them continues to grow even as they swear not to go any further than kissing.

Although Jewl and Kane make a pact to be together for only a week the attraction between them grows stronger with each turn of the page. Kris Jansen does an amazing job throwing us into a sci-fi world where Kane and Jewl unexpectedly find love. Jansen writes a delightful story with strong characters and a fascinating world of marriage politics. The sci-fi world is unique and takes us to planets where history meets the future on Kane’s home world.

It was nice to read a fun sci-fi story where the characters are put together in a ploy to fool a council. This is a fast love and quick read that will leave your heart fluttering for more. I highly recommend this book to any who like a cute and enjoyable sci-fi love story that show opposites really do attract.

Description: Dream visitations and déjà vu bring Wade Summers and Michael Turner together on a non-corporeal plane. Now they have to figure out how to bridge the gap between 2012 and 2022 to make their relationship a reality.

Wade Summers is a decent guy who happens to have a ghost taking advantage of his body at will. His attempts to escape it have failed, and despite their unorthodox nature, he enjoys the visitations far too much to complain. His body gets sated, but his soul longs for his enigmatic lover.

In 2022, erotic dreams and déjà vu of a gorgeous man are driving Michael Turner insane. A strange old man convinces him he let Mr Right slip through his fingers. Michael desperately tries to figure out at what point he missed getting the man of his dreams and will stop at nothing to return to his destiny.

Review: Wade Summers and Michael Turner are meant to be together but a mistake made in 2012 tore the two apart. Now Michael lives in a future 2022 where nothing appears to go right and he is miserably alone. Wade who lives in 2012 is visited by a strange man who he cannot see or touch but gives him pleasure and longing like he has never known.

Vona Logan’s writing style is light-hearted and fast paced from the beginning. There is not a dull moment from page one to the end and has some amazing sex scenes throughout the entire story. This incredible author will have you turning the page in hopes of Michael and Wade finding a way to be together at last.

One of my favorite characters is Li, the old Chinese owner of a book shop and amazing supporting character. Li grew on me more and more as the story progressed and he never pulled my attention away from Wade and Michael’s growing love story. Although the story is short and I was sad to see it end so quickly I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a passionate time travel story between two hot men.

Description: Adam Galindo finds himself in Zaragoza, Spain, accompanied by his mother, Susan, to attend a memorial service for his father, Pascual.

Fighting heartbreak but trying to keep a brave face for his mother, Adam decides to tour the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar for a daytime diversion with his mother. What Adam discovers, while gazing at frescoes and watching Susan light a few candles in her husband's honor, is that he is the reincarnated Count of Aragon, Aznar Galindez, onetime savior of the city and vampire hunter. And he knows this is true because Emerico Espiritu, a Spanish vampire with one hell of a sexy smile and an even sexier attitude, has told him so.

Between accepting his new role in life and kicking Romanian vampire butt, Adam finds himself learning the ins and outs of vampire hunting when he's not practicing a little in and out of his own under the tutelage of Emerico Espiritu.

Review: Adam Galindo is instantly mistaken for Aznar Galindez, the count of Aragon, when he arrives in Spain with his mother. Adam is here in Spain to help spread his father's ashes.

Emerico Espiritu a handsome, dark stranger who takes an instant liking to Adam, Emerico's reincarnated lover. Emerico is a wet dream of a man who has a few secrets. Before Emerico can act on his feelings he must first show Adam, who is a constant temptation, his destiny as the previous vampire hunter Aznar.

Alex Carreras writing is very descriptive and gives the reader a beautiful visual of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar through Adam's eyes. His writing is smooth and detailed giving us a clear view of what it's like to fall in love with a vampire under the starry skies of Spain.

I found myself cheering as Adam and Emerico try to save the city, Zaragoza, from a rampaging clan of Romanian vampires. The only glitch I discovered in the book is a decision Adam makes in the end, the choice appears out of character from what Adam had stated earlier in the book (I would further define but I don't want to spoil the fun). The decision is justified and honestly I applaud Adam's choice but still slightly out of his character.

Emerico and Adam fit together like two pieces of a perfect puzzle. The characters had chemistry and instant attraction from the first moment they see each other. The connection between the characters is powerful from the beginning and continues to grow as Adam and Emerico work together to save the vampires, el Fraternidad. Plus there are hot love scenes that are both sexy and touching.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a unique twist on vampire myths in the beautiful country of Spain with two hot men who kick butt! I am very excited and looking forward to the sequel!
