Happy Holidays!

Welcome the Colorado Christmas blog hop!

I’m very excited to be a part of the Colorado writing group and this exciting blog hop.

This is such an amazing time of year! I love the music, the fun movies, the lights on all the buildings and houses, and the general feeling of joy in the air. One of my favorite past times is sitting in the busy malls and watching the people as they make their purchases. They rush around buying last-minute gifts that need to be shipped before the post office deadlines or they run around in search of that perfect gift for a special someone. I like watching the way they react to the stress, some focus while others fret. Some are singing and smiling to themselves while others seem to be yelling at everyone. It’s like watching a show without having to pay an outrageous price for seats.

To me it’s also a time to be grateful and let the stress of the year fall away. Nothing can be changed this year, the new year is around the corner so I find it’s a time to reflect and count the blessings before we make our New Year’s resolutions.

I had a wonderful 2013 year! Everyone in my family has been healthy and happy this year. My sister had her wedding in June and my brother also got married in August. They were both beautiful! I love weddings! I have such wonderful family and friends I’m successful because of their support.

Most of all I’m grateful for my husband and crazy cat. They make my life so much better! And, as always, I’m grateful for books, writing, and stories, without them life would be so boring.

All of us have our traditions, some of us celebrate with friends and family while some of us celebrate alone. Either way, holidays will always be better curled up with a hot chocolate, or strong eggnog, and a good book.

I would love to hear from all of you the things you are grateful for this holiday season, so leave a compliment to be entered into a drawing. On this blog I’m giving out a $10 gift card to Amazon or 50% off a custom book cover (you can check out my portfolio at http://tabathaheartart.wordpress.com/portfolio/). Please leave a comment letting me know which prize you would like to receive if your name is drawn.

Also remember to visit all the authors in the blog hop to celebrate the Out in Colorado Holidays!

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

I am grateful that I’ve recovered from the operation I had at the end of last year and my family is still happy and together this year. I would like a $10 gift card to Amazon if I win. Thank you.

I’m grateful that my mother is still with me to share the holiday. It is her favorite time of the the year, so I try to be in the spirit for her. The gift card to Amazon would be nice if I won.

I spent several hours yesterday shopping gifts and prepping them – today I had the pleasure of seeing the recipients’ joy at receiving what I had put together – nothing expensive, just something to enjoy and spoil them. It made all the work yesterday worth it.
This season I’m thankful for my wonderful family and looking forward to seeing them all.

If I win, I would like to receive the GC, please.
Thank you for the give-away. Merry Christmas to you
