Description: Dr. Imlay Jones has never understood what all the excitement is around sex. It is dirty, sweaty, and, most times, just plain boring. He prefers his test tubes and medical bay. But when Livewire leaves to go on a mission, Imlay suddenly realizes he doesn't want the man out of his sight. There's something about the crazy mechanic that draws Imlay like a flame.

When Livewire doesn't return, Imlay is beside himself. When it's discovered that Livewire is being held hostage, Imlay insists on going on the rescue mission to retrieve his missing mate. But rescuing Livewire doesn't stop once they get him back onboard the Lady Blue. Livewire can't stand to be touched, trusts no one, and has constant nightmares about his capture. Only Imlay's gentle touch can calm the man. Can Imlay overcome his aversion to sex in order to bring his mate back to the land of the living, or will he lose Livewire forever to the memories that haunt him?

Review: Livewire, the ships engineer, wants nothing more than to be with his mate. Imlay, the cold-hearted doctor, has put up walls around his heart and shows no interest in Livewire. The first chapter is heartbreaking as Livewire leaves ready to be away from Imlay. But a single kiss as Livewire says goodbye has Imlay head over heels. Too late does Imlay realize that he may have already lost Livewire forever.

By far my favorite line took place when Imlay watches the shuttle already out in space. The captain of the ship, Remy, steps up to Imlay to see if the doctor is okay. Imlay says, “Make him come back.”

Imlay has to fight for Livewire when disturbing events take place threatening to tear them apart. Imlay must find it within himself to help save Livewire by showing him that the doctor will always be there.

Stormy Glenn and Lynn Hagen write another gem of a book for the Lady Blue Crew! Glenn and Hagen have fast pace writing that keeps you turning the page hoping that Imlay and Livewire learn to love each other, that in the end everything will be okay.

This will definitely go in as one of my favorite paranormal books. I loved Imlay as a character and how he grows to understand the importance of love and a relationship. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a stubborn doctor and sexy shifter falling in love while flying through space.
